Hi, I’m Ashleigh — an energy drink-fuelled, snack-sharing, often-slightly-disheveled mum of 4, living in West Yorkshire… or somewhere between the laundry pile and the school run. Welcome to my little online space, where I share the real, raw, and often ridiculous moments of motherhood.
I started this blog because I needed a space to be honest. Honest about how beautiful parenting can be — but also how exhausting, messy, emotional, and lonely it sometimes feels. When I became a mum, I quickly realised there was no handbook and definitely no off-switch. So, I began writing about the things no one warned me about: the mental load, the mum guilt, the moments of joy so intense they make your eyes sting, and the meltdowns (theirs and mine).
This blog is a little mix of everything — parenting stories, practical tips, gentle reminders that you’re not alone, and a sprinkle of humour to get us through the chaos. Whether you’re here looking for support, solidarity, or just someone who “gets it,” I hope you feel at home.
My parenting style? Somewhere between gentle guidance and bribery with snacks. I believe in showing up, not being perfect. In taking deep breaths, in saying sorry when we get it wrong, and in celebrating the small wins (like finishing a cup of tea while it’s still warm).
Outside of mum life, I’m passionate about a photography, walks in nature, and doodling on my iPad. I believe in finding little pockets of joy in the everyday, even if they’re just five minutes hiding in the bathroom scrolling TikTok videos.
When you visit this blog, my hope is that you leave feeling seen, understood, and reminded that you are not doing this alone. We’re all just trying to raise good humans while keeping ourselves semi-sane in the process.
So, make yourself at home. Browse the blog, share your thoughts, or say hi on Instagram or Facebook. I even have an TikTok (but I don’t post my children on there). And if you ever need a little reminder that you’re doing an incredible job — come back here.
With love,
Ashleigh
