Ever Wake Up and Just Don’t Feel Your Best?

Some mornings, you open your eyes and everything feels heavier than usual. There’s no obvious reason — no bad news, no drama — but your heart feels a little heavier, your smile a little harder to find. You feel sad. Not because something happened, but just because.

And then, there are the kids. Bright-eyed, full of energy, looking to you for comfort, play, and love. Suddenly, that sadness feels even harder to carry because they need your smile, your warmth, your strength. So, you put on your best smile, even if it’s a little shaky, and you show up for them.

Some days, that’s the bravest thing you can do — showing up, even when you don’t feel your best. And that’s okay. Because being a mum means loving fiercely, even through the tough days.

If you’re feeling like this today, you’re not alone. It’s okay to have days that aren’t perfect. Take a deep breath, be kind to yourself, and remember you’re doing an amazing job.

When those feelings hit me, I find that stepping outside for a short walk in nature helps clear my mind and brings a little peace.

How do you lift yourself up on days when you don’t feel your best? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
