I Finally Got a Knitting Machine!

I’m so excited — I’ve finally got a knitting machine! It’s a 22-pin Sentro, and I can’t wait to start creating with it.

For years, I’ve wanted to try machine knitting. There’s something so soothing about the idea of turning yarn into something soft and useful — and now that I have one of my own, I feel like a whole new world of creativity has opened up.

I have big plans for my little Sentro. I’ll be making tube scarves, socks, and tiny hats — simple, comforting pieces that can bring warmth to others. My goal is to donate what I make to local neonatal units, where even the smallest items can make a big difference to families during such delicate moments.

There’s something deeply meaningful about that. Each stitch feels like a small act of kindness — a quiet way of giving back, of turning creativity into comfort. I love the thought that something handmade could help keep a newborn warm or bring a little light to someone’s day.

I won’t be sharing the things I make publicly — this project is something I want to keep personal and heartfelt. It’s not about showing what I’ve made, but about *why* I’m making it.

I’m just really looking forward to the gentle rhythm of it all — the whir of the machine, the feel of soft yarn in my hands, and the quiet satisfaction of crafting for a cause that truly matters.

Here’s to new skills, small acts of kindness, and a little warmth in every stitch.
