Why I Wear My Apple Watch Every Single Day (Yes, Even With Dresses)

I wear my Apple Watch every single day.

Not in a “fitness influencer who closes their rings at 6am” kind of way. Not in a “perfectly curated morning routine” kind of way either.

Just… in a very real, very me, slightly chaotic, mum-of-four kind of way.

It’s part of me now.

I don’t even think about putting it on anymore. It just lives on my wrist. The only time it really leaves is when it’s on charge — and even then I feel a bit off, like I’ve forgotten something important but can’t quite work out what.

And yes, I have the tan line to prove it.

A proper, undeniable, slightly embarrassing watch-shaped tan line that sticks around no matter the weather. Summer? Obviously. But even through the colder months, it’s still there. A permanent little outline of how attached I am to this thing.

I wear it with everything.

School runs in leggings and a hoodie.

Jeans and trainers.

Dresses where it probably doesn’t “match” but I genuinely do not care.

Because at this point, it’s not an accessory. It’s just… part of the outfit by default.

And I even sleep in it.

Every single night.

I didn’t plan to become someone who tracks their sleep, but here we are. Now I check it like it’s some kind of personality report.

“Why am I tired?”

Oh right. Because my sleep score says I was basically awake all night thinking about everything and nothing.

Makes sense.

It tracks my steps, reminds me to stand up when I’ve been sat too long, pings me with messages I sometimes ignore, and occasionally tells me I’ve hit my goals — which feels like a small win in a day that’s mostly made up of snacks, laundry, and trying to remember who needed what for school.

It’s not about fitness for me.

It’s about function.

It’s convenience.

It’s routine.

It’s one of those small, everyday things that just quietly makes life a bit easier without making a big deal about it.

And honestly? I’d feel weird without it now.

Like leaving the house without your phone. Or realising halfway through the day you forgot your bra. Something just wouldn’t feel right.

So yes — I wear my Apple Watch every day.

With everything.

Through everything.

Even in my sleep.

And at this point… it’s not going anywhere.
